I have picked up indoor gardening over 3 years ago and I can not say how happy I have become being a plant mom. My plants have given me so much energy to life. I can not even explain it. Every time I dig my hands into these amazing leaf babies, I gain hope for a better tomorrow. I find myself researching all kinds of plants, but my favorite are succulents. They are so interesting because of their ability to survive great lengths of time without rain or water. They love the sun and heat waves are a no big deal for them, but every once in a while they need the care and attention from their owners. What is amazing about these beings isn't just their survival mode, but the beautiful flowers and leaves they create. Plants over all create an amazing environment for humans and other species. They give us life.

With that said, I wanted to create a trio of graphic plant posters that had a unique geometric and natural look to them. I decided on a line-art, type, graphic because of the complexity in form of the plants, but simple color due to the natural color of the plants. I wanted the color to have a feeling of watercolors, but also not be very consistent within the lines of the drawings due to the chaotic nature these plants face every day. I wanted this project to not only have an organic, clean, and environmental feeling, but also have the harsh geometric feeling as well. I wanted the plants to feel grounded and what better way to do that then to add the architectural geometry to this piece itself. After all, these plants live indoors.
