As an immigrant, I have seen my mother struggle with the lack of English for 15+ years. I personally understand the pain you go through trying to learn English or being a child of someone who never learned it. For my thesis, I really wanted to make a difference in the Polish community and help others who struggle just like my mom. 

 

Being a designer who is interested in printed materials, I knew I wanted to create a publication. I wanted this publication to be very interactive, so I decided to create a collective workbook, called Be Fluent. Be Fluent is a language support system for Polish adults trying to learn English. This workbook consists of a labeling system for the consumer's house to help them better their everyday vocabulary in their native environment. This labeling system is in place to eliminate the action of translating and to start pronouncing environmental vocabulary correctly, through daily activities. This system will allow Polish adults to learn vocabulary rather than just remember it momentarily. With Be Fluent, you will be able to learn English much easier due to its unique active environment activities.
